Expertise AGS Records Management Sénégal

AGS Records Management is not only a story of expertise and technology, but also a story of the men and women who, on a daily basis, support companies and institutions in their document management and digitisation strategies. We meet Nadia Gomboc, Deputy Manager at AGS Records Management in Senegal.

When she joined AGS Records Management in March 2020 as sales manager for AGS Senegal, Nadia knew nothing about records management. Having worked in the hotel industry and at the Paris Opera, her speciality was customer relations.

Freshly arrived in Senegal, she joined the AGS Records Management team and immersed herself in the world of physical and digital records management. Her challenge? To promote AGS Records Management’s expertise in Senegal. Within a few months, she was assisting numerous private sector clients with their physical and digital records management projects. “AGS Records Management offers a comprehensive range of services in Senegal. Thanks to our unique expertise, we can support clients with solutions that are perfectly tailored to their needs. This is a real strength,” she emphasises.

Nadia was appointed as the deputy manager of AGS Records Management Senegal in December 2021.

Adapting to customer needs: a daily challenge

Since the arrival of a new salesperson to strengthen the team, Nadia has focused her energy on developing key accounts with more complex requirements. “With large corporations, the approach is completely different. Centralisation, management and control of document flows… The issues are cross-functional, and we must analyse their business processes thoroughly to create a coherent and efficient solution. It’s fascinating!” explains the deputy manager.

In Dakar, AGS Records Management has a highly secure records storage facility, purpose built to archive documents long term in complete confidentiality. “Each day, we work to take on new clients and successfully identify their long-term expectations,” she explains. “My goal is to build close client relationships based on trust and to raise awareness for the solutions offered by MEMORIST, the MOBILITAS division dedicated to preserving and promoting cultural and historical heritage.”

Preservation and promotion of archives in Senegal

A 360° records management strategy

In a recent project, Nadia partnered with one of Senegal’s largest banks to facilitate the step-by-step rollout of an improved records management policy. “I contacted them at the right time, just as their policy was being reviewed,” she explains. “After a dozen or so proposals, we had developed a real strategy with 360° visibility.”

The project began with an audit carried out by the AGS Records Management team to organise the bank’s two large archive storage centres more efficiently. The second stage involved digitising certain documents and outsourcing a part of the archives.

A step towards restoring, digitising and promoting Senegal’s heritage

A few months ago, Nadia Gomboc set herself a new challenge: to showcase MEMORIST’s expertise and know-how to public institutions, museums and private companies. “Senegal is home to a diverse range of cultures and a multi-ethnic heritage that must be preserved, restored and shared with future generations,” she emphasises.
